Amplify (formerly FReeZA) Youth Committee Program

The Amplify program is a dynamic youth participation initiative that empowers young people to take the lead in shaping their local community’s cultural scene.

Grounded in a youth-led model, the program encourages young individuals to plan, develop, and deliver a variety of music, art and cultural events that resonate with their interests and community needs.

What is the Amplify Youth Committee?

The Amplify Youth Committee is a vibrant team of young people aged 12-25 who work together to bring exciting events and programs to life. From live music gigs and art to open mic nights, workshops and festivals, the committee plays a vital role in creating engaging and inclusive cultural experience for their community.

Why join the Amplify Youth Committee?

As a member of the committee, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Voice your ideas on the types of events and activities that are hosted in your community.
  • Play an active role in planning and executing music and cultural events.
  • Develop valuable skills in decision making, leadership, teamwork, and project management.
  • Volunteer within your community, making a positive impact.
  • Network with local businesses, schools, and community organisations and support.

Amplify events are drug, alcohol, vape and smoke free. They are held in supervised and safe venues.

If you’re passionate about music, arts, events, or simply want to contribute to creating a more lively and inclusive community for young people, the Amplify Youth Committee offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved and make a difference.
