Australia Day celebrations will be held across Greater Shepparton on Monday 26 January.
Greater Shepparton Mayor Dennis Patterson said celebrations around the region will feature flag raising ceremonies, guest speakers, Australia Day Ambassadors, entertainment and the presentation of the 2015 Australia Day Awards.
“Australia Day is fantastic opportunity for all citizens, regardless of their background to come together to celebrate our country and what it means be Australian,” Cr Patterson said.
“I encourage all Greater Shepparton residents to take pride in their country on 26 January and reflect on who we are as a nation and attend their local event”
“Australia Day is a day for people from every walk of life to celebrate the things we love about our country.
“It is time to celebrate our freedom as individuals and as a nation, our lifestyle and culture, our land and its beauty, our history, our opportunities and our future.”

8.30am, Arcadia Community Hall Breakfast, speeches and presentation of Australia Day awards. Address by Australia Day Ambassador Mr Vedran Drakulic.
Dookie
8am, CWA Gardens Flag raising, speeches, key note address by Australia day Ambassador Alan Howe, presentation of Australia Day awards and children's activities.
Mooroopna
10.30am, Ferrari Park Speeches, address by Australia Day Ambassador Mr Bill Kusznirczuk, presentation of Australia Day awards, sausage sizzle, refreshments, vehicle display and entertainment.
Murchison
8am, Murchison Swimming Pool BBQ breakfast, speeches, address by Australia Day Ambassador Mr Tony Murphy AFSM, entertainment, presentation of Australia Day awards and the famous 'duck races'
Shepparton
8am, Queens Gardens Breakfast, speeches, address by Australia Day Ambassador Alice Pung, presentation of Australia Day awards, Citizenship Ceremony, musical performances and BBQ brunch.
