Greater Shepparton City Council, in partnership with the Congupna community are developing a community plan which will guide the Congupna community into the future.
There are a number of opportunities for residents to get involved in the planning process, including becoming part of the steering committee or attending community information gathering forums.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Jenny Houlihan said Council was seeking a number of people to form the steering committee.
"Community members will also be able to have their say via a survey, or at a coffee and conversation session to be held over the coming weeks," Cr Houlihan said.
"Our Community Planning staff are also available to attend meetings with specific groups in the community, such as sporting clubs or other community groups to capture their ideas for Congupna.
"I encourage people to get involved in the planning process and help shape the future for Congupna."
A survey is available online via Council's website www.greatershepparton.com.au and from the Congupna General Store and Congupna Primary School.
Feedback from the survey will be received until Friday 2 September 2013 and can be made the following ways:
Come along to the Congupna General Store ‘Coffee and Conversation' and help to add to the Ideas Wall (while enjoying a free cup of tea or coffee).
All of the ideas will be captured and then community members are encouraged to attend a priority setting forum to prioritise the ideas raised. This forum will be held in the first week of September.
