Greater Shepparton Youth Fest celebrates young people aged 12 to 25 and gives them the chance to connect, take part in local activities, try something new and celebrate youth creativity across the region.
The 2026 program will include a range of youth-focused events, activities and opportunities delivered by Council, local organisations and community groups.
Program highlights include Connecting Youth EXPO’26 on Saturday 5 September 2026 and Amplify Creative Hub on Saturday 19 September 2026.
Connecting Youth EXPO’26 will bring together local services, activities and organisations to support young people and their families, while Amplify Creative Hub will continue to provide a free, creative and welcoming space for young people to connect, take part in activities and try something new.
More events will be added to the program in the lead up to September, with the community encouraged to regularly check the Youth Fest webpage for the latest updates.
This year also introduces Shelby, the new face of youth events in Greater Shepparton. Designed by Genesis Dal, Shelby creates a fun and recognisable identity for youth programs while showcasing local creative talent.
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali said Greater Shepparton Youth Fest is an important opportunity to celebrate young people across the region.
“Youth Fest is about recognising the ideas, talents and contributions of young people in Greater Shepparton,” he said.
“It gives young people the chance to connect with others, take part in new experiences and feel proud of the community they are part of.
“With events happening across September, we encourage young people, families and the wider community to explore the program and get involved.”
Council’s Director Healthy Communities and Liveability, Briana Baass said Greater Shepparton Youth Fest helps create safe and inclusive spaces for young people.
“Youth Fest is a great way to support young people to feel seen, heard and valued,” she said.
“The program brings together events that help young people build confidence, express themselves, learn new skills and connect with others.
“We are also very excited to introduce Shelby - a great example of how Council celebrates and includes young local creativity.”
