The Greater Shepparton Women’s Charter Alliance Advisory Committee (GSWCAAC) is encouraging local women to attend the 10thousandgirl ‘Better Money Management Financial Workshop for Regional Women’ to be held in Shepparton on Tuesday 8 September.
The workshop offers regional women access to expert financial education, free of charge. It is being run by not-for-profit financial wellbeing social enterprise 10thousandgirl, with government and corporate financial support. The GSWCAAC is proud to support the workshop.
A key feature of the workshop in Shepparton will be a Q&A panel session with local financial experts, who will present their insights into financial management fundamentals, while offering participants the opportunity to ask specific questions to further their knowledge. Topics to be covered include investment principles, financial planning, tax tips, succession planning, solutions to barriers and support mechanisms. The panel will comprise:
The workshop will also provide information and tools to help participants document key life goals and priorities. Participants will be assisted in completing a personal financial review and investment plan, including a spending plan, balance sheet, debt review, insurance audit and superannuation audit.
Cr Adem, GSWCAAC Charter Champion, is encouraging as many local women as possible to attend.
“The Greater Shepparton Women’s Charter Alliance Advisory Committee recognises that financial education is important to the well-being of women. I encourage local women to attend this free workshop and equip themselves with the tools to enable a better financial future,” said Cr Adem.
The GSWCAAC is made up of volunteers and, with Council support, aims to increase women’s participation in key decision making forums in the community and in democratic governance. The GSWCAAC supports three main principles: Gender Equity, Diversity, and Active Citizenship.
