Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking nominations from individuals interested in joining the Goulburn Valley Highway Bypass Action Group.
The Action Group acts as an advisory committee to Council on issues related to the proposed Bypass. The Action Group also undertakes submissions, representations and lobbying to the State and Federal governments on behalf of Council.
It consists of representatives from Greater Shepparton City Council, Strathbogie Shire Council, Shire of Campaspe, Moira Shire Council and the Committee for Greater Shepparton. The balance of the Action Group comprises a chairperson and up to six community representative positions. The chairperson and community representative positions are voting members of the Action Group and are appointed for a two year term.
Those with an interest in the realisation of the Bypass are encouraged to apply for the chairperson or the six community representative positions. Committee meetings are held at times determined necessary by the Action Group. The appointments will commence on 16 August 2016 and end on 15 August 2018.
Nomination forms are available for download below or in the foyer of Greater Shepparton City Council’s offices at 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton.
Nominations close at 5pm on Monday, 27 June 2016.
