The ‘new’ AFL Goulburn Murray Office is complete and has been operational since late July.
The project included internal remodelling of the existing community hall and attached office space to create a new enlarged self-contained office suite to meet the growing needs of the AFL GM. The contract was awarded to and undertaken by Moretto Building Pty Ltd.
The AFL GM relocated to portables for the duration of the works. These were located on site enabling business as usual.
External works included relocating of gas meters and service lines, upgrading of the main building power supply and new covered entrance to serve to newly created office suite. Mechanical and electrical works included splitting of exiting installations to enable independent operation, provision of new independent zoned A/C, lighting, power and electrical and data reticulation for the office suite, internal office fit out including partitioning, new ceiling grid and tiles, painting and carpet. The office furniture was supplied by the GM AFL and was acquired from Windy Hill – hence the (red and black) colour scheme!
The new accommodation includes two open plan office areas, managers’ office, meeting room, store room, board room and ancillary areas.
The new refurbishment has provided much needed workspace for staff and has been well received.
