These September school holidays will see the return of KidsFest, a family favourite event for locals and visitors alike.
Spread over two big days, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September, a number of big acts will descend on KidsTown with something to suit kids of all ages.
The headline acts include The Party Pirates from Sydney, back by popular demand and joining them will be Chris Humphrey and the team from Wild Action, the Zoo that comes to you will make their way back to KidsFest. Chris and the team were a part of KidsFest in 2006 and 2007 and we are very excited to have them come back in 2016.
Council’s Director Community Kaye Thomson said KidsFest is now in its eleventh year and has established itself as a fun packed event for the whole family.
“This year’s festival features a number of entertainers as well as sporting activities, Bunning DIY crafts, Kids dance workshops, Parks Victoria, Fisheries, Woodturners wood workshops, petting zoo, roving entertainment, and rides in our sideshow alley for all ages,” Ms Thomson said.
“KidsFest is great value family entertainment and there is something for everyone, so put the dates in your diary now, and check the KidsFest website for program updates.”
Entry is $2.00 per person and the event runs between 10.00am and 4.00pm each day.
KidsFest is also taking applications for volunteers to help with a number of roles during the festival. More information regarding this as well as further information about the event can be obtained from the team at KidsTown on 5831 4213 or via the website at www.sheppkidsfest.com.au
