Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking feedback from the community to assist in a review of the three outdoor pools in the municipality.
Council manages outdoor pools in Mooroopna, Merrigum and Tatura.
Council’s Manager Active Living Tony Tranter encouraged people to have their say.
“The information we gather from our survey, from meeting with key community representatives and from community get-togethers will be used to help guide us in terms of the types of aquatic facilities, activities and improvements that we may need to deliver in the future,” Mr Tranter said.
“We want to identify the changing needs and expectations of our local community in relation to aquatic facilities and respond to these needs in a strategic manner.
“We want feedback from our current pool users and we want people who don’t use our pools to tell us why they don’t. All feedback will be valuable and help shape our review.”
A number of community meetings will be held as follows:
Merrigum Senior Citizens, Waverley Avenue 6.00pm, Monday 17 November
Tatura Senior Citizens, Flanagan Pl 6.00pm, Tuesday 18 November
Mooroopna Hub Hall, 23 Alexandra Street 6.00pm, Wednesday 19 November
Informal drop in sessions will also be held:
Mooroopna Swimming Pool Friday 21 November, 4.00pm to 6.00pm
Aquamoves Saturday 22 November, 9.30am to 11.30am
Tatura Swimming Pool Saturday 22 November, 12.00pm to 2.00pm
Merrigum Swimming Pool Saturday 22 November, 2.30pm to 4.30pm
