SPC KidsTown are calling on interested people to put their hand up to volunteer at KidsFest this year.
Volunteers are required for a range of tasks including main entry meet and greet, animal farm, arts and crafts programs, catering and hospitality, face painting, sports program support, visitors surveys and also set up and pack down.
Council’s Director Community Kaye Thomson encouraged people to volunteer.
“We welcome volunteers of all ages from 14 upwards and it’s a great way to get some experience in different areas of event work and be a part of one of the region’s biggest family event,” Ms Thomson said
“KidsFest is a fantastic event for the region, but we do need a lot of volunteers to pull off an event of this size and there are so many different and interesting areas for volunteers to get involved in. We encourage anyone with an interest to get involved.”
“All volunteers over the age of 18 require a Working with Children Check. If you do not have one, you can easily apply for one online.”
This year’s KidsFest will be held over two big days on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September.
