Greater Shepparton City Council is inviting residents and businesses to attend the inaugural GV Home Energy Expo, a free community event focused on practical ways to reduce energy costs and improve energy efficiency at home and in the workplace.
The GV Home Energy Expo will be held on Sunday 14 June 2026, from 10am to 4pm, at the McIntosh Centre, Shepparton Showgrounds.
The event will bring together a wide range of local stallholders, industry experts and community organisations, providing attendees with access to the latest information, products and advice to reduce household and workplace energy costs including electrification, renewable energy and energy efficiency.
The event will showcase a variety of energy‑smart solutions, including Solar PV, home batteries, electric vehicles, weather sealing, home energy efficiency assessments, energy bill relief, government rebates and incentives and more. Visitors can explore exhibition stalls, speak directly with knowledgeable providers and hear from guest speakers, who will share insights into energy trends, emerging technologies and steps the community can take to reduce energy use and manage rising power costs.
Director Sustainable Development, Geraldine Christou said the expo would be a valuable opportunity for the community to learn and connect.
“With energy affordability front of mind for many households and businesses, the GV Home Energy Expo offers a practical, hands-on way for people to learn about smarter energy solutions,” she said.
“By bringing local stallholders and experts together in one place, residents can ask questions, compare options and gain confidence to make informed energy choices.”
Council’s Manager Environment, Sharon Terry said the expo is designed to make it easy for the community to get advice from experts on a range of energy solutions.
“The GV Home Energy Expo will showcase real, practical solutions that people can apply in their homes and workplaces,” she said.
“From small behaviour changes to larger upgrades, the aim is to help our community understand what options are available and how they can reduce energy use and costs over time.”
Entry is free, with the public encouraged to register and attend for a chance to WIN a portable induction cooktop!* Conditions apply. Visit the website for full details.
Residents and business owners are encouraged to register their attendance online. Food vendors will also be on site, making it a great day out for the community.
