Shake off the chill with the Activities in the Park Winter Program

Wednesday 3rd of June, 2026,
Greater Shepparton City Council is inviting residents to stay active, social and connected this winter with the return of the Activities in the Park Winter Program.
Running throughout June, July and August, the Winter 2026 program features a wide range of activities for children, young people, families and seniors across Greater Shepparton. From Puff Walks and yoga sessions to wildlife experiences, kids’ activities and community events, the program encourages people to get outdoors and stay involved during the cooler months.
This season’s line-up includes returning favourites alongside new activities held across Shepparton, Mooroopna, Merrigum, Bunbartha and Toolamba.
Program highlights include the Teddy Bears Picnic at Kidstown, Wildlife Wonders, Zorb Ball in Merrigum, community planting activities, National Tree Day events, the Winter City Market and the Shepparton Running Festival.
A range of school holiday activities will also feature throughout the program, including free kids’ activities in the Maude Street Mall and basketball come and try sessions at the Shepparton Sports Stadium.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali said the program continued to provide opportunities for people to stay active and connected throughout winter.
“Activities in the Park gives people of all ages the chance to get involved in fun, welcoming and affordable activities across our region,” he said.
“Winter can often see people spending more time indoors, however this program encourages the community to get out, try something new and connect with others,”
“Whether it is joining a Puff Walk, taking the family along to a community event or exploring one of the school holiday activities, there are plenty of ways for people to enjoy winter across Greater Shepparton,” he said.
All activities are drug, vape, alcohol and smoking-free.
Residents and visitors can view the full Winter 2026 program online at activitiesinthepark.com.au or follow Activities in the Park on Facebook for updates and booking information.
