Greater Shepparton City Council wishes to thank PetStock Shepparton and Shepparton Foodshare for their recent donations to the Shepparton Animal Shelter.
PetStock Shepparton kindly donated large bags of dry dog and cat food including science diet, Eukanuba and natural choice to the Shepparton Animal Shelter. The bags of dog treat help keep the dog’s teeth clean. The value of the goods donated is around $700. It is expected that the donations will assist in providing treats and a variety of food over the next month.
The Shepparton Animal Shelter has also received a generous donation of a large pallet with roughly 600 packets of sliced ham from the Shepparton Foodshare. The value of goods donated is approximately $2000. It is expected that this donation will assist in providing a diverse diet to the shelter dogs over the next two months.
These kind-hearted donations allow for the staff to provide a variety of food for the animals, taking into consideration an animal’s size, age and specific veterinary requirements. The different type of food also assists in providing numerous enrichment activities to maintain an animal’s physical and mental wellbeing.
