Shepparton retailers are breaking out of the winter chill with winter savings across the city to warm the whole family. This year Shepparton’s Winter City Market arrives with two big days of savings on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 August.
Shepparton Show Me Chair Michael Polan said there is something for the whole family at the winter market.
"The big news is that this year all the kids rides and attractions are free. Shepparton is set to be a ‘Winter Wonderland' of live performances, jumping castle, face painting and Australian Wildlife Creations petting zoo all here and all free!," Cr Polan said.
"There's entertainment on centre stage with the Parsons Jazz band with Norm Grey and we're showcasing the musical talents of Monga Mukasa, our very own local star who has arrived back from performing in Hollywood."
Greater Shepparton Mayor Jenny Houlihan encouraged people to come along and support local retailers.
"There is definitely something for everyone, with fashion, homewares and jewellery all on sale during the market," Cr Houlihan said.
"Come along and snare some fantastic bargains and enjoy a great day out with the whole family while supporting our local traders."
This years ‘Shepparton Winter City Market' coincides with Daffodil Day, so by simply buying a Daffodil, you're supporting cancer research and adding Daffodil colour and beauty to you day.
The ‘Shepparton Winter City' further confirms the city as the region's ‘Shopping Capital' and this year's event is proudly coordinated by the Investment Attraction Department at Greater Shepparton City Council and sponsored by Shepparton Show Me.
