Aquamoves has once again achieved Life Saving Victoria’s (LSV) prestigious Platinum Pool Award, placing the facility among an exclusive group of just 40 aquatic centres across Victoria, recognised for their excellence in safety and risk management.
LSV’s Platinum Pool Program sets the benchmark for safety in the aquatic industry. As part of the accreditation process, Aquamoves underwent a comprehensive series of evaluations, including a Pool Safety Assessment, six-monthly safety implementation reviews, Mystery Guest Visits, and compliance with the ‘Watch Around Water’ child supervision program.
The Platinum Pool status is awarded only to facilities that demonstrate the highest safety standards, passing rigorous assessments that examine all aspects of aquatic safety. Achieving this milestone underscores Aquamoves’ commitment to providing a safe, welcoming environment for all visitors.
LSV Manager – Aquatic Industry Services, Alek Olszewski, praised Aquamoves for their dedication to safety and excellence.
"Platinum pool accreditation really is reserved for the best of the best, and so I congratulate Aquamoves on their strong safety protocols and newly-minted platinum accreditation that will ensure guests of the facility are able to make the most of the facility to learn lifelong water safety skills," he said.
"Receiving the accreditation is difficult enough, let alone maintaining it, so we look forward to working together with Aquamoves to ensure the pool continues to prosper in adhering to our industry code of practice for the benefit of the entire Greater Shepparton community."
Aquamoves Centre Manager, Steve Wilson, expressed pride in the facility’s achievement and the impact the centre has on the community.
“This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our team to ensure that Aquamoves remains a safe and enjoyable space for everyone,” he said.
“We’re committed to maintaining these high standards and continuing to provide an outstanding aquatic experience for all our visitors.”
Facilities who have qualified for the Platinum Pool Award are certified and provided with internal materials for display within the facility. The accreditation is valid for twelve months and forms an important component of the overall safety planning and continual improvement strategy.
