Greater Shepparton City Council appointed ten members to the Tatura Park Advisory Committee for the upcoming term at its November Council Meeting last Tuesday.
In Summary
The purpose of this Committee is to advise Council on the procedures, rules, conditions of use and proposed capital works necessary for the proper management of the facility and any specific issues which may arise from time to time.
The Committee provides an opportunity for community input into the Tatura Park Exhibition and Events Complex, with four meetings held per annum.
Applications to join the Committee were sought from within the local community, with Council appointing the following members for a period of two years commencing on 1 December 2024 and expiring on 30 November 2026:
At the meeting on Tuesday, Council also formally thanked Kyle Mobberly and Karina Damschke for their significant contribution as they conclude their term on the Tatura Park Advisory Committee.
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, welcomed the members of the Committee and highlighted the importance of the group.
“Council is pleased to welcome the members to the Tatura Park Advisory Committee. Their expertise and insights will play a key role in shaping the future of the Tatura Park Exhibition and Events Complex,” he said.
“The Committee ensures it remains a safe, welcoming, and financially sustainable venue for both local and visiting user groups. We thank them for their commitment to supporting this vital facility, which is an integral part of our community.”
Tatura Park Advisory Board member, Cr Rod Schubert, said he is looking forward to working with the Committee.
“I am looking forward to working with the Advisory Committee members to ensure Tatura Park continues to thrive as a key community asset, meeting the needs of our residents and visitors alike,” he said.
