Make your next career move at Council’s Early Years Recruitment Day
Posted on
Friday 3rd of October, 2025,
Greater Shepparton City Council is excited to announce its third Empowering Early Years Recruitment Day, designed to connect passionate people with rewarding careers in early childhood education.
The event will be held on Wednesday 29 October 2025, with sessions from 3.00pm to 4.45pm at the McIntosh Centre in Shepparton.
The recruitment day provides an inclusive and relaxed environment where attendees can meet Council’s Children’s Services team, take part in informal interviews, and explore a range of opportunities across Council’s Long Day Care and Kindergarten Services. Applicants will receive feedback within two weeks, making the recruitment process quicker and more supportive.
Council’s Manager Early Years Operations and Reform, Stacey East, said Council was looking forward to meeting people who want to make a real difference in our community.
“This event gives potential employees the chance to showcase their passion without the pressure of a traditional interview,” she said.
“We know how important the early years are for children’s development, and we are eager to welcome new educators who share our commitment to providing the best start in life.”
Council Early Childhood Educator, Snehal Patel said the team culture and professional growth opportunities stand out.
“What I value most is the support from colleagues and leaders. There is always someone to learn from and collaborate with. You feel trusted to bring your ideas to the classroom,” she said.
“If you are ready to start or progress your career in early childhood, this recruitment day is an easy way to meet the team and see where you could fit.”
Applicants must hold a Diploma-level or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) to apply.
Registrations open Monday 13 October and close at midday on Monday 27 October 2025.
