Greater Shepparton City Council is pleased to inform the community that a design has been confirmed for the new Tatura Skate Park.
Following the conclusion of the recent community consultation regarding two proposed concept designs, based on the feedback received, Design Option 2 has been selected as the preferred choice by the community.
The skate park designer has been diligently integrating the community feedback into the final design. Site preparation activities, including grading and shaping, have now commenced to establish the desired contours and slopes for the new skate park.
“Thank you to the Tatura residents and community members who provided their feedback on the two design options for the new Tatura Skate Park,” Council’s Director Infrastructure, Gary Randhawa said.
“The new and improved facility will be a fantastic community asset and we look forward to works being completed and the new skate park open in the coming months.”
The southern car park at Memorial Place will remain closed during construction of the new skate park. The two disability access carparks will remain open during this time.
The new Tatura Skate Park is anticipated to be completed by late June 2025.
