The annual 100 Lap Challenge is back in Tatura at the Tatura Swimming Complex, inviting individuals and teams to make a splash for a good cause.
Scheduled for Saturday 24 February 2024, from 8.00am to 11.30am, proceeds from the 100 Lap Challenge will directly benefit the Tatura Hospital and Nursing home. Over the years, the event has raised an impressive $84,310, supporting vital healthcare services and initiatives within the local community, while providing a fun and meaningful activity for participants.
Originating from a friendly bet in a local pub, this beloved event has grown into a cherished tradition, bringing together swimmers from Tatura and neighbouring communities for a morning of swimming and fundraising. Participants are encouraged to swim 100 laps each, pushing themselves to reach their goals while contributing to the well-being of their community.
The event is open to everyone, regardless of age or skill level. Whether you’re a seasoned lap swimmer or simply looking for a fun way to spend the morning with your family, the 100 Lap Challenge in Tatura welcomes all members of the community to join in the festivities. Families or groups are encouraged to swim together or show their support from the sidelines.
There is no entry fee for the event, however each participant or team is expected to raise a minimum $100 sponsorship. Morning tea will be provided for participants and supporters at around 9.00am.
