The Victorian government is supporting our regional entertainers by sharing your talents through Recharge Vic.
Recharge Vic is an interactive site created especially for people living in regional Victoria to share their skills and talent with the wider community and support the entertainment industry.
Engaging with online events and activities is an important way you can help support your mental and physical health during this time. Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Councillor Seema Abdullah encouraged all local artists to share their work with the Recharge Vic site.
“This is a great opportunity to highlight the strength of regional creatives and to assist regional performers during these challenging times,” Cr Abdullah said.
“Greater Shepparton is full of talented locals and as a community we can support their content and provide them with an online audience and market to sell merchandise to and keep them going through to recovery.
“With physical distancing and isolation restrictions in place, Council continues to support initiatives which connect our community with our region’s arts and culture, to create employment and also provide some entertainment that be enjoyed from home, such as the online art programs through SAM, virtual concerts from Riverlinks and lots of nature based activities with RiverConnect.
Members of the community can share their story through any safe format such as video, poem, song, photo gallery or more. There are no age restrictions or genre limitations.
Head to the Recharge Vic website to submit your work or tag them on Facebook @rechargeVICaus.
