Greater Shepparton City Council is excited to announce the return of Carols by Candlelight.
This year the famed and beloved event, will once again take place at Queens Gardens on Sunday 19 December, led by passionate local sponsors and supporters. Residents will also be able to join in on the celebrations at home with the festive performances available to watch online.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Councillor Kim O’Keeffe said community spirit and local support has risen to the challenge and rallied to ensure this incredible event takes place.
“The organising committee who work hard each year have out done themselves, creating an entertaining show for everyone across Greater Shepparton to enjoy,” Cr O’Keeffe said.
“The spirit of the event has always been to bring the community together, our community has stayed strong through the year, supporting one another and keeping each other safe. Now is the time to safely celebrate everyone’s hard work and achievements for the year, be together in-person or online with friends and family and wish for a happy and prosperous new year’s.”
This year Carols by Candlelight will truly be a uniting event, staged by the community, for the community. Starting at 6.30pm with some of the community’s favourite carollers, the evening will bring some festive joy to families across the region.

There will be no COVID-19 capacity limitations for this event.
