Greater Shepparton City Council invites local families to come down to the Maude Street precinct these school holidays and enjoy the variety of family and kids’ activities on display.
From Saturday 16 to Saturday 30 September 2023, a range of free activities suitable for children of all ages and abilities will be taking place from 10am to 12pm along Maude Street in the CBD.
Delivered by local facilitators such as Activities in the Park, RecLink, AFL Goulburn Murray and Council’s Waste Education team, kids will be able to take part in a ‘Design your own football jumper’ colouring workshop, improving handball skills workshop with AFL representatives, footy team colours face painting on Grand Final Day, enjoy giant games on display and much more.
‘Live Music Saturday’s’ will also be making a return, with Council providing free live music every Saturday during the holidays.
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali encouraged residents to visit the Maude Street CBD during the school holidays and enjoy the entertainment.
“Council is excited to be hosting a range of activities for the family. This is a great opportunity to activate the local economy and encourage residents to go out and have a wonderful day,” he said.
“We invite the community to come to the CBD, enjoy the fun games with the kids, the live music and have a good time together. There is plenty to do in Greater Shepparton these school holidays.”
